The Snake Prince
A Fairytale World in Comic
What is your work about?
My comic "The Snake Prince" is inspired by a Serbian folk tale and is about the love story between a prince who is born as a snake and a country girl with whom he falls in love.
It's a crazy fairy tale with lots of settings and quirky characters. This world really captivates me, so I want to visualise it. The comic is an expressive and diverse medium in which I can depict all the details of the narrated world and at the same time go into more detail about the characters. It is a challenge to tell the fairy tale as a comic, so I have rewritten and reinterpreted a lot. In addition to a captivating narrative, it is particularly important to me to create an atmospheric and gripping world.
How could the project continue?
My project only tells the beginning of the story. I would like to draw it to the end and see how it continues to unfold. What the places and characters that haven't yet appeared look like.
