Hanna
Heintzsch
Combining function and emotion in design is a challenge that continually enriches Hanna and sparks innovative ideas. In the design process, she is especially inspired by both familiar and unfamiliar encounters, which constantly lead her perspective in new directions. The experiences from her studies and interactions have particularly strengthened Hanna's sense of typography and branding, which she intends to further develop.

Creating visibility for endangered cultural spaces
What is your project about?
A series of dynamic visualizations draw attention to the displacement of cultural spaces in the city of Hamburg. The compositions vary depending on how severely cultural institutions are being displaced in certain neighborhoods, thereby visualizing the urgency of the problem.
What inspired you in particular?
The fact that cultural venues are being bought up and demolished by large investors is unfortunately evident in various major cities. I believe this cultural extinction can change an entire city's landscape, making it a significant problem. My hometown of Hamburg and its cultural diversity are very dear to me, which is why I find it necessary to give this issue a loud voice.
How did you grow during the process?
I see both my bachelor's project and my entire studies as a process that has enriched and strengthened me with increasing confidence in my decisions as a designer.
