Lena is versatile in her projects, with a primary focus on 3D work. She values letting go of plans and appreciating the randomness of development. She finds particular inspiration in the mundane and inconspicuous, as well as in exploring the bizarre and eerie aspects within everyday things. Her strength lies in persistence and finding unique solutions to every challenge. As a designer, her goal is to uncover new perspectives and innovations for enduring challenges.
Resteesser – I'm Still Good.
Design concept of an interactive application to raise awareness and educate about food waste.
What is your work about?
In my work, I focus on the various reasons and causes of food waste and where we encounter food leftovers in everyday life. Through an interactive application, I aim to present the topic in an emotional and playful manner. The character "Resteesser" serves as a game figure who collects and uses up food leftovers. As a player, one discovers stories, information, clues, and tips on the subject.
What particularly moved or inspired you about the project?
The topic of food is paradoxical. It is thrown away because it is no longer needed, and more is produced because there is not enough yet. People suffer from having too little and simultaneously from having too much food. I was particularly interested in the many contradictions and inconsistencies related to this topic.
How could the project continue?
It is a long-term project, which will hopefully be applicable in the future as a complete learning/exploration game.
