Leonie
Jostameling
In her free time, she enjoys playing riddles, which is reflected in her work as a designer. She finds it fascinating to put herself in other people's shoes and puzzle out how she can best support them through design. She is particularly inspired and motivated by projects that make socio-political issues visible and promote an understanding discourse.
Vamos
Rebranding and development of a visual language for educational policy content.
What is your project about?
Vamos is an educational-political organisation from Münster that encourages people to think and act in a globally fair way. The newly developed visual identity is intended to make the organisation more visible. A flexible design system makes it possible to encourage a variety of target groups to participate.
What inspired you in particular?
Right-wing parties are on the rise in Europe. For me, design is a means of actively participating in shaping our world. That's why I wanted to use my Bachelor's project to support an initiative that strengthens democracy and promotes cultural exchange.
How did you grow during the process?
From analysing the association in a workshop to systematically defining the design principles, I was able to try out many new approaches.
Were there challenges you had to overcome?
The challenge was to develop a design language that authentically represents the organisation and whose tonality is variable depending on the target group in order to appeal to as many people as possible.
How could the project continue / develop further?
If everything goes well, the association will soon be able to present its new image to the outside world.
