Momentum
A fictional 3D short film about a perfectionist racing driver.
What is your project about?
My final project is a 3D animated science fiction film about a racing driver with big goals and the ambition to be the fastest and best. Plagued by the pressure to perform, she competes in a Grand Cup against the stars of the scene.
Will she make it and withstand the pressure?
What inspired you in particular?
The incentive to make an animated film about a female racing driver came from computer racing games. I was particularly inspired by the story of Michèle Mouton, one of the most successful rally drivers in the history of motorsport. It was also exciting for me to fill the male-dominated racing scene with a female character.
How did you grow during the process?
Pressure to perform and perfectionism have played a major role in my life for a long time and I wanted to process this in my Bachelor's thesis and work on it.
