Soul Conquest
Conceptual Artbook for the launch of an animated series through character designs, scenic artworks, and conceptual drawings of an adventurous fantasy world.
What is your project about?
It is about a small group of adventurers, that gets a new member and seeks their place in an adventurous fantasy world. Together, they go on dangerous expeditions, procure rare materials, and fight fearsome creatures. The work is intended as a concept for an animated series and aims to create excitement for an action-packed, adventurous story that also addresses deeper themes like friendship, solidarity, and revenge.
What inspired you in particular?
Adventure stories have always inspired me. I like how series can depict many facets of life and bring various characters closer, even though we live in different worlds. This inspired me to try my own story and fully utilize the skills and habits I have learned during my studies.
Were there challenges you had to overcome?
In such a comprehensive project, especially with world-building, there are always multiple tasks influencing each other. The biggest challenge was to make decisions and eventually accept certain aspects of the work as they are.
