Victoria
Hoch
Her heart beats for photography and videography. Her keen eye for detail enables her to visually capture and tell atmospheric stories. She finds inspiration in everyday life, especially in the small, often overlooked moments. She greatly appreciates the fact that she was able to go her own way during her studies and at the same time seek support or advice at any time. Now she is ready to leave this safe space and take her place in the film world.
Untold Stories
A video installation that shows the extraordinary in the ordinary an authentically portrays different realities of life.
What is your project about?
My project lets stories be told that are otherwise overlooked in everyday life. The installation allows you to immerse yourself in the everyday lives of different people and look beyond your own nose.
What particularly moved or inspired you about the project?
I saw the opportunity to leave my comfort zone. In addition, I have always been fond of immersive exhibitions and explored to which extent I could realize my vision of bringing “Untold Stories” to life.
How did you grow during your process?
The exchange in the interviews was eye-opening and very valuable for me.
Were there any specific challenges that you overcame?
Finding suitable protagonists and then coordinating shooting dates was far more difficult than initially thought.
How could the project continue/develop further?
The video installation can be seen as a prototype for an entire exhibition - more immersive, with larger screens and a deeper examination of the individual fates.
